lyrics
The Final Frontier
All our dreams condemned to stay dreams
Only for a moment lay within our grasp
All the tales of valor of a man
All his sins now fall to one
In the heart of the storm
Through the silence of night
You can hear the desert winds howl
A name beyond time
Forged into battle and timeless war
My first breath
My spirit became one
With the Sun
Black gods of the sand
Fear my wrath
All are made from silence
And lonely is my path
Here lie the ruins of a dream
Here shadows preserve the soul of a god
(fear your child)
The soul of a god
(for now a king will rise)
Beyond the final frontier where the Sea meets the Sky
The Sun battles the Moon, the day against night
Here in the twilight of dreams
One man stands alone
Here at the edge of all being
A Man turns to God
For it’s in the nature of man to go on
Even when all hope and light are gone
It’s in the nature of man to believe
Even when the gods are meant to deceive
For it’s in the nature of a god to create
Even when the twilight has long sealed his fate
Through the ashes and flames of the birth of the stars
It’s your violent creation that still bares these scars
Fear your child…
Emerging from the Light…
Into the fight alone
(Still I’m moving on)
Beyond the mountains of the world
Through sorrow, pain and loss
(living on)
The nature of a GOD in MAN

My favorite band from 2004-2006, back from the grave and better than ever. A masterpiece of dark prog-metal and (hopefully) a harbinger of great things to come. gebs

It reminds me of *good* Blind Guardian, which is one of my favorite bands (up to 2002) , so that alone would be enough. However, it would sell the band short to describe them just as "a band that sounds like BG". The album has some genuinely brilliant moments and the last song on the album, the s/t one, is one of my favorite songs of the past years, absolutely fantastic. dungeonvic
